EasyJet Lisbon to Luton

Lisbon to Luton flight, a truly dismal flight on an airline I would not use again. The plane arrived in Lisbon an hour late so we were well behind schedule by the time we took off. The seating free for all was a complete shambles as the bus taking the people with children and thoses needing extra time to board arrived at the plane after the general boarding bus. After about 5 minutes of trying to make people move to accommodate families with kids we then waited a further 10 minutes at the gate. Once we were ready to go the flight attendants did the safety announcements in English and played a recording of the flight safety announcements in Spanish which would have been ok if we weren't in Portugal! It became apparent that none of the flight attendants spoke a word of Portuguese and relied on other passengers to translate for them when they noticed a fair of elderly Portuguese ladies seated in the emergency exit row. Once in the air we were offered outragiously priced drinks and snacks by a flight attendant who bore a striking resemblance to Cruella De Ville complete with enormous fingernails. We arrived at Luton 75 minutes late and gave a sigh of relief to excape from the clutches of Easyjet forever. We usually fly between Portugal and London with TAP or BA and will certainly be returning to them in the future. In Canada we use discount carrier Westjet, who when compared to Easyjet, look like a luxury airline.
