Hotels.com Don't even waste your time.... - room amenities

What : Customer Service, Change booking policy, False Advertising

Don't even waste your time asking for any particular amenities with Hotels.com. I was searching for a particular hotel in Knoxville and happened upon a website featuring that hotel with an 800#. I called not knowing I was calling Hotels.com. Anyway, long story short, all we wanted was a room with a king bed and a JACUZZI. I told Raymond on the phone that we required the jacuzzi. He called the hotel and came back on the line assuring me that the room available has a jacuzzi. Even after I asked him a second time. Anyway...needless to say the room didn't have a jacuzzi when we walked in, but it DID have a pullout couch, which, the front desk staff reported to us that we had requested, NOT. When we asked to move to a jacuzzi room, we were told by the hotel staff that we would have to pay over $100 for an additional room because we had initially booked with Hotels.com. I called Hotels.com to see what they could do for us, and wouldn't you know, less than 10 minutes after speaking with the front desk staff, that jacuzzi room wasn't available anymore. So, we demanded a full refund and checked out of the hotel right then. I wonder if we'll ever see that refund on our debit card? By the way, the hotel staff told us "Hotels.com sucks" and that they don't guarantee anything in the small print but a roof over your head, no matter what they promise you on the phone. Never again!
