Expedia.com - Horrible Service - READ BEFORE YOU BOOK EXPEDIA

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE USING EXPEDIA...I used Expedia to purchase the flights to and from my honeymoon cruise. I picked flights because of the specific time we needed after the wedding to make it to the cruise on time...One week later I received an e-mail saying I must call Expedia because the flight times were changed. After being on hold for 30 minutes I finally got through to someone who I could barely understand. She told me that I would have to purchase new tickets for different times but my money from the first ticket would be refunded. Since the new ticket times still worked for our schedule I agreed. It took over 4 weeks to get the refund from the first ticket. During this time I received 3 more e-mails saying that the flight times had been changed. Since it was obvious that Expedia was not going to provide us with flights at the necessary times (even though flights for that time were available on their web site and through the airlines) my fiance and I decided to cancel our flights with Expedia. We asked to talk to a supervisor at Expedia and were on hold for over an hour. When we finally got through we were told that we would have to contact the airline directly to cancel the tickets. Since we had purchased the ticket through Expedia we would not accept this answer...so we were told that she would call us back and let us know if it was possible. The next day we received a call saying that a refund would be credited to us...but we were not given a confirmation number or any other information. We bought tickets through the airline directly, expecting a refund for the Expedia tickets. After waiting three weeks for a refund we called Expedia again who at first claimed that the refund had been processed and it was the credit card company's fault. We contacted the credit card company who assured us that Expedia had not given any refund. We called Expedia again (keep in mind that it takes about 30 minutes each call to actually get through to someone) and were told that the tickets were non-refundable. At this point we were already fed up with the service we received from Expedia so my fiance went directly to the airline who recognized that it was Expedia's fault and refunded our tickets. I would never recommend using Expedia to anyone! The service was horrible, and there was never a guarantee that we would get the flight that we needed. It is definitely worth the extra $50 to go directly through the airline and know that you are going to make it to your destination without any issues. Expedia almost ruined my honeymoon!
