my four daughters, my husband and I vacationed in Panama City at the Holiday Inn Sunspree. While there, my 4 year old daughter went down a water slide in the facility intended for small children and cut open her chin. There was a sharp edge on the slide and the cleaning crew had moved a matt out of the way that was intended to break the momentum. She required a trip to the emergency room After returning home, I contacted the hotel because my health insurance company refused to pay due to the incident being a liability of the hotel. The hotel has also refused to pay and has refused to reimburse us for vacation time lost at their facility. The only thing I have received from Holiday Inn/Hilton was an offer for dinner in a horrible restaurant. I have also received slanderous comments from their legal/insurance employees. My daughter now has a permanent scar. Don't rely on a hotel chain to monitor safety of their equipment, because they don't.
